What is microblading?

Microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool with multiple fine needles is used to deliver pigment. Microblading differs from standard eyebrow tattooing because each stroke is crafted by hand allowing for detailed shape and color customization, whereas eyebrow tattoos are done with a machine and a single needle.

Microblading is a semi-permanent brow technique. Like all tattoos, microblading can fade, depending on multiple factors, including pigment quality and UV exposure. • Be sure to always keep your needles at 90 degrees and avoid drawing sideways.
• Press gently and very slowly, releasing the pressure on both ends.
• For finer detail work use nanoneedles (0.16–0.18mm); for bolder strokes use 0.20–0.25mm needles.
• Flexible needles really help to get pressure. for detailed precision work.
• Make sure the needles are stainless steel and will adhere to one another.
• You should always check your needles using the loop.
• Another way to check your blade is to press it against your nail. It shouldn’t move much.
